Terms of Service

The terms that apply when you book packing, moving, vehicle transport or storage with DLF Cargo Movers.

Last updated: October 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to all services provided by DLF Cargo Movers ("we", "us", "our"), Solanki Market, Plot No 2, Palam Vihar Rd, opp. Park View Apartment, Ashok Vihar Phase 1, III, Gurugram, Haryana 122006, and to the use of our website dlfcargomovers.com. By booking a service or using the website, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully. If any written quote or agreement signed for your move contains specific terms, those terms will apply alongside these.

1. Services

We provide packing, unpacking, loading, unloading, household and office relocation, local and long-distance transport, car and bike transport, and warehousing services. The exact scope of your service is described in your written quote. Any work not listed in the quote, such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry beyond simple dismantling and reassembly, or wall mounting, is not included unless agreed in writing.

2. Quotes and Pricing

  • Quotes are based on the survey and the information you provide. Prices listed on the website are indicative ranges only.
  • A quote is valid for 15 days unless stated otherwise.
  • If the volume of goods, addresses, floor or lift access, or moving date changes after the survey, the price may be revised. We will inform you of any change before carrying out the additional work.
  • GST, transit insurance, toll and state entry taxes, society charges, parking fees and floor charges are listed separately where applicable.

3. Booking, Payment and Cancellation

  • A booking amount confirms your date. The balance is payable as stated in the quote, generally on delivery for local moves and before unloading for intercity moves.
  • You may cancel or reschedule free of charge up to 48 hours before the moving date. Cancellations within 48 hours may forfeit the booking amount to cover crew and vehicle allocation.
  • Payments can be made by UPI, bank transfer, card or cash. An invoice is issued for every payment.
  • Storage charges are billed monthly in advance. Goods may not be released until all dues are cleared.

4. Customer Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information about goods, addresses and access.
  • Obtain any permission required from your housing society, building management or landlord, unless you ask us to coordinate it.
  • Be present, or have an authorised person present, at pickup and delivery to check the inventory.
  • Keep cash, jewellery, important documents, medicines and personal valuables with you. We are not responsible for such items if packed or transported without being declared in writing.
  • Disconnect and empty appliances where requested, such as defrosting refrigerators and draining washing machines.

5. Items We Do Not Carry

We do not transport hazardous or illegal goods, including gas cylinders, petrol or diesel in containers, explosives, firearms, acids, narcotics, perishable food or live animals. Plants are carried at the owner's risk. We may refuse to carry any item we believe to be unsafe.

6. Transit Insurance and Liability

  • We strongly recommend transit insurance, available on the declared value of goods. Insurance must be opted for in writing before the move.
  • If you opt for insurance, claims for damage or loss are settled as per the insurance policy terms.
  • Without insurance, our liability for damage caused by our negligence is limited as stated in your quote.
  • We are not liable for pre-existing damage, internal mechanical or electrical faults in appliances not caused by handling, goods packed by the customer, or damage due to natural wear, weather, accidents beyond our control, riots, strikes or acts of God.
  • Any damage must be noted on the delivery receipt and reported within 48 hours of delivery with photographs.

7. Vehicle Transport

Cars and bikes are inspected jointly at pickup, with condition recorded in writing and photographs. The vehicle must have valid registration, insurance and PUC documents. Personal items should not be left inside vehicles. Fuel should be kept low. Minor dust is normal on open carriers.

8. Delivery Timelines

Transit times given are estimates. Delays may occur because of weather, traffic, road closures, checkpost inspections, strikes or other events beyond our control. We will keep you informed of any delay.

9. Storage

Goods in storage are kept in a covered, secure facility. Storage insurance is optional. If storage charges remain unpaid for more than 60 days after written reminders, we may exercise our lien over the goods in accordance with applicable law.

10. Website Use

Content on this website, including text, photos, logo and design, belongs to DLF Cargo Movers and may not be copied without permission. Information on the website is provided in good faith but may change without notice. Prices on the website are indicative and do not form an offer.

11. Complaints and Disputes

Please contact us first at info@dlfcargomovers.com or +91 8860278889 with any complaint. We aim to resolve all complaints within 15 working days. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Gurugram, Haryana, and governed by the laws of India.

12. Goods Packed by the Customer

If you pack some cartons yourself, please use sturdy boxes, fill them fully and seal them well. We will load and transport them with care, but we cannot accept responsibility for damage to the contents of cartons we did not pack, unless the carton itself shows clear external damage caused during handling. Our packers may re-pack any self-packed carton that appears unsafe, with your consent and at the agreed material cost.

13. Access, Waiting Time and Additional Charges

Our quote assumes reasonable access at both addresses. If the truck cannot reach within a normal carrying distance, if a lift is unavailable on the day, or if our crew has to wait because of permissions, keys or the customer's availability, additional labour, shuttle vehicle or waiting charges may apply. We will always explain and agree these charges with you before applying them.

14. Damage Claims Procedure

To make a claim, note the damage on the delivery receipt, take clear photographs, and inform us in writing within 48 hours of delivery. Keep the damaged item and its packing for inspection. For insured moves, we help you complete the insurer's claim form and submit supporting documents. For uninsured moves, we inspect the item and offer repair or compensation within the limits set out in your quote.

15. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, extreme weather, floods, fire, pandemics, government orders, road closures, strikes, riots or accidents not caused by our negligence. In such cases we will inform you promptly and resume service as soon as possible.

16. Communication Consent

By booking with us, you agree that we may contact you by phone, SMS, WhatsApp or email about your move, including surveys, schedules, transit updates, invoices and feedback requests.

17. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from goods that you did not declare, that you are not legally entitled to move, or that are prohibited, and from incorrect information provided by you that results in fines or losses.

18. Survey and Inventory

The survey and inventory are prepared with your participation. Please point out every item to be moved, including items in lofts, balconies, storerooms and parking areas. Items not shown at the survey may need additional material, space or crew, and may change the price. At pickup, you or your representative should check and sign the inventory; at delivery, the inventory is checked again before you sign the delivery receipt.

19. Subcontracting

For some long-distance routes or vehicle carriers, we may work with trusted transport partners. In every such case, we remain responsible to you for the service described in your quote, and your coordinator remains your single point of contact.

20. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue to apply in full.

Booking Through Our Website

Submitting a quote request through our website does not create a booking or a contract. A booking is confirmed only after you accept a written quote and pay the booking amount. Until then, either party may decline without obligation. Prices and availability shown on the website may change without notice.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with your accepted written quote and any signed inventory or service agreement, form the entire agreement between you and DLF Cargo Movers for the services booked.

If you have any question about these Terms before booking, please call or email us. Our coordinators will explain any clause in plain language, and we are happy to put specific arrangements in writing in your quote. Clear terms agreed in advance protect both you and our team, and help every move go exactly as planned from the first carton to the last.

21. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version on this page at the time of your booking applies to your move.
